De Staat nominated
De Staat’s album in top 5 of best Dutch albums
After LiveXS Magazine acclaimed De Staat’s debut album Wait For Evolution to be the best album of 2009, and winning the prestigious ‘3voor12 Best Album Award’, the album is now in the running to win its 3rd title. Today, Holland’s finest alternative radiostation 3FM has presented their nominations for the 3FM Awards. As it turns out, De Staat has not only been nominated in the “Best Album” catogory, but also as “Best Alternative Act”. Winning a 3FM Award would be yet another milestone in the rapid development the band is going through.
In 2009 De Staat performed on countless national and international stages and festivals. They finished up the year with a highly succesful clubtour in Holland, and by signing an international record deal with Mascot Records. Evidently, most of 2010 will be dedicated to their international release and accompanying tours. Allthough De Staat’s bandmembers have currently isolated themselves to write new material – it won’t be long until they break out to introduce themselves to a foreign audience.
